About Mountain State Bank
A Brief History
Due to the tremendous growth of Forsyth, Dawson and Lumpkin Counties, a group of local business leaders decided to unite to organize a new community bank. Thus, the birth of Mountain State Bank. The group’s vision is for this institution to be a full service bank that will give individual attention to the financial needs of area businesses and residents.
The bank’s Board of Directors are business leaders from the markets and communities that Mountain State Bank serves. The board members are comprised of business leaders from various occupations and industries. Their broad diversity of talents and experiences will be a valuable asset to Mountain State Bank. After almost a year of planning and preparation, Our Vision, was finally realized with the authorization to begin business on April 10, 2003.
